emailerSAFE acts as a trusted intermediary between you and your partners, like a Notary.
emailerSAFE® offers mechanisms which:
- guarantee the secured identification of the sender and the recipient based on X.509v3 digital certificate;
- guarantee the message integrity, authenticity, non-repudiation and confidentiality;
- acknowledge the time-stamped e-mails sending and receiving, guaranteeing the very moment of messages receiving/sending;
- anytime, offer the possibility to check the status of the sent messages.
How does it work
STEP 1: When you send a highly important message, it is received by emailerSAFE together with the information needed for the emailerSAFE to forward it to the recipient.
STEP 2: emailerSAFE records the e-mail receiving in a log. Simultaneously, a time stamp is assigned to the message, thus marking the very moment of receiving.
STEP 3: emailerSAFE sends you an acknowledgement e-mail electronically signed and time stamped. Thus, you have the non-repudiable proof of sending the message.
STEP 4: emailerSAFE announces the recipient about the receiving of a message, which he can withdraw by accessing the emailerSAFE service.
STEP 5: The recipient connects to emailerSAFE, using a secured link and his digital certificate. The moment when the e-mail is read is also registered in the system and then time stamped.
You can check at anytime whether the message that you have sent to the recipient was read.

Technical data
There are three possible ways to transmit a message to emailerSAFE:
- Using an e-mail client that supports the S/MIME standard;
- Directly from the web interface of the emailerSAFE application;
- From other applications by integrating them with emailerSAFE® - those applications will be able to insert the messages directly in the emailerSAFE® database communication table.
- X.509 v3 and CRL X.509 v2 digital certificates, LDAPv3 directory services;
- RSA(1024, 2048 bits) public key cryptographic algorithms;
- SHA-1 hash algorithm;
- Symmetric algorithms: AES, Blowfish, DES, 3DES.
Users’ registration in the application occurs through a web interface on SSL connexion. The registration procedure allows the integration with the registration interface of a Certification Authority. Each user holds a configurable mailbox, with integrated agenda.
