certSIGN, a leading developer and integrator of cryptographic, cybersecurity, and digital identity solutions, has been awarded 2nd place at the national level in the Research, Development, and High Tech category of the National Top of Companies 2025<\/strong>, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR).<\/p>

The award highlights the company’s commitment to research and innovation activities, which form the core of its business model. Through an ongoing internal renewal process, certSIGN invests human, financial, and technological resources to develop new products and services or improve existing solutions, thereby generating new business lines and revenue streams.<\/p>

The company holds over 20 trademarks registered with the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks, while its developed software applications are registered with the Romanian Copyright Office. certSIGN also owns two international patents: one for a homomorphic data encryption<\/a> <\/strong>method—which enables information processing without decryption—granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and another for a system and method for the secure generation, exchange, and management of user identity data using blockchain, granted by the European Patent Office.<\/p>

The company’s main research directions include mobile identity solutions, blockchain technologies, and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) applications across various fields, further strengthening certSIGN’s position as a leader in cybersecurity and digital identity technologies.<\/p>
