Romania and 18 other countries compete for the 2019 European Cyber Security Championship trophy
The Romanian youth will compete in October this year with teams from 18 states for the European Cyber Security Championship (ECSC) 2019 trophy. As organizer of the sixth ECSC edition, Romania will host for the first time the final stage of this contest, which will take place from 9-11 October at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest.
The event, supported by the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), addresses young cyber security enthusiasts, each team being formed by a national selection based on the latest news in the field.
At national level, Romanian students wishing to participate in ECSC can sign up until April 5th. In the months leading up to the final round, Capture the Flag competitions and training sessions will take place. Areas such as web security, cryptography, mobile security, programming, reverse engineering, and investigations will be covered.
Selected contestants will also benefit from the expertise of certSIGN’s cyber security specialists, Platinum partner of ECSC 2019. A Romanian company with over 12 years of experience in the development of cyber security solutions, certSIGN and the Faculty of Mathematics at Bucharest University will support the team of our country through involvement in the pre-selection stages, the creation of tests and the support of training sessions.
