SafeNet. Changing the PIN code on Windows

Access to the token is based on a PIN code. The code is printed in the letter received from certSIGN (see example here).

For security reasons, it is recommended that you change the PIN code as soon as you receive the device by following the steps below.

1. Connect the SafeNet device to your computer.

2. Click on Start, select All Programs, choose SafeNet, then SafeNet Authentication Client and finally select SafeNet Authentication Client Tools.

3. In the SafeNet Authentication Client Tools window, click on Change Token Password.

4. In the field Current eToken Password type in the current PIN code of the device (the one printed in the letter you received from certSIGN).

5. Type in the new PIN code (at least 6 characters) in the fields New eToken Password and Confirm New eToken Password; then click OK.
