The team that will represent Romania at the European Cyber Security Championship 2018 has been oficially established, with the final stage taking place between October 15-18, 2018, in the UK, in London. The three days of the ECSC18 final include both the actual competition, which is preceded by conducting training sessions, as well as social events and tourist visits.
Romania will be present at the European Cyber Security Challenge 2018 with a group of 10 young people, divided into two age groups, 16-20 years and 21-25 years, with 5 competitors each. The youngsters selected will compete with the teams from the other 18 countries participating in the event this year, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Spain and the host country.
ECSC18, an event organized by the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), is a competition in which our country managed to impose itself throughout the previous years, obtaining the title of vice-champion in 2017 and 2016, and being nominated by the jury as having the best exposure of how it handled the tasks in the competition in 2016 and 2015.
certSIGN supported Romania's team to participate in the European Cyber Security Championship 2018 by involving in the pre-selection stages and supporting a cryptographic training session within the nine-day bootcamp ending in late September that marked the end of the national round .
